Join the entire Creekside community for Creekside’s International Festival & Picnic!

An annual celebration of our diverse cultures and backgrounds, we will gather to share, eat, dance, laugh, and learn about traditions from around the world!

What to Bring

Bring food and drinks and a blanket or chairs for your family. Come for all or part of the evening. Students may also want to bring a poster for our Hall of Traditions and families are welcome to bring an easel or table to set up a larger display to share their culture. See below.

BVSD is following the guidance of Boulder County Public Health as they make these challenging health decisions. At this time there are no restrictions on outdoor activities, however, we strongly suggest wearing a mask and social distancing when possible.

Get ready to join in and share the fun….

Picnic on the Lawn! Bring a blanket and your own dinner. Mingle safely outdoors with friends old and new. Water/lemonade will be provided.

Games / Crafts Table! Activities and coloring to keep little hands busy and inspired.

Posters! Get creative and make and bring a poster to share about what makes your chosen country/culture special. (Ideas: people, animals, places, food, festivals…. ).

Hall of Traditions – Posters will be displayed in our “Hall of Traditions”. Families are also welcome to bring a folding table or easel to set up a larger display to celebrate their country, traditions, and/or cultural heritage. We hope families will visit each other’s displays and learn more about each other and what makes Creekside such an amazing place.

Student parade! All students are invited to parade with the country’s flag of their choosing. International costumes or decorations are optional.

Live Performance by Halau Na 'Olapa Mamao E Malama Hula [Colorado Hula]. Hula is a form of signed storytelling dance from Hawai’i. Colorado Hula includes performers of all ages. We welcome you to to join in our audience participation dances!
